Emergency Procedures Review B

In addition to the topics discussed for the A CoP EP Review, the following additional topics need to be discussed: 

Preparation 

  • Effects of peer pressure on decisions to jump or not 
  • Selecting appropriate jumpsuits 

Inflight 

  • Exit issues with respect to extra gear, snag hazards  
  • Characteristics of a stalling aircraft 
  • Larger group exit issues  

Freefall 

  • Large group RW safety and large aircraft safety are the major topics. Refresh the novice on the key points of all procedures. 
  • Decelerate properly from tracking before deploying. 
  • Traffic issues on breakoff 
  • Additional risks on movement jumps

Canopy  

  • Cutaway practice must be performed with a high level of proficiency. 
  • Physically rehearses response to high speed and low speed malfunctions  
  • High performance canopies 

Equipment 

  • Camera 
  • Additional jumping equipment (e.g. Wingsuit, camera, toys, flags, smoke etc)

Technical knowledge 

  • Emergency situations specific to the person's discipline. 
  • Different cutaway system depending of equipment
